Hafizah Benyahya is the founder of Hadir Birth, co founder of Belai Spa and a Malay Postnatal Doula devoted to preserving and sharing traditional fourth trimester care. She married into a family of natural herbalists and traditional postnatal caregivers, where ancestral knowledge has been carefully passed down through generations.
Trained as an Amani Childbirth Educator, her deepest calling has always been in postpartum aftercare — the sacred window where women are restored, supported, and strengthened. With over 10 years of experience, Hafizah is committed to making this knowledge accessible, empowering women to confidently practice and carry it back to their communities.
Sabrina Elizabeth Erschen is a mother of 3 and owner
of Ummul Postpartum Apothecary, based in St. Louis,
Missouri USA. She is a Holistic Postpartum Doula
who specializes in creating herbal body care for
postpartum rejuvenation. She is a student of
developmental trauma healing, studying with the
intention of helping mothers connect to their hearts
more as they journey through the different seasons
of motherhood.
As a trainer, Mak Ja approaches Traditional Malay massage not simply as a technique, but as a structured healing practice rooted in cultural heritage, ethical responsibility, and practitioner discipline. She is especially devoted to supporting women through postnatal recovery and mentoring practitioners to work with care, integrity, and amanah.
As this is the first cohort of the Malay Postnatal Workshop Retreat, we are offering a special Founding Cohort Scholarship for women who feel called to learn and carry this knowledge forward.
This includes the full training, course materials, hands-on practice, and your 5-night retreat stay in Azahra, Andalusia.
Once the founding cohort is filled, the scholarship will close and future retreats will return to the full investment.
